Lucas Haratsaris is a saxophonist and composer from the Longmont, Colorado area. He is inspired by the music of the great saxophonists such as Jonh Coltrane, Arnett Cobb, and Dexter Gordon, as well as by many modern pop, rock, and funk artists.

Playing the saxophone from a young age, he studied under Dr. Heath Walton. Lucas graduated from Niwot High School and the Colorado Conservatory for the Jazz Arts where he was a member of the Jazz Arts Messengers under the instruction of Eric Gunnison.  Lucas continues his study at the prestigious University of North Texas under the tutelage of Brad Leali.

Lucas performs in the Dallas/Fort Worth area as well as the Denver/Boulder area. He leads his own groups which explore both original compositions and tried and true classics. He is a member of the Grammy nominated Two O'Clock Lab Band under Rob Parton and is a previous member of the Grammy nominated Latin Jazz Lab Band under Jose Aponte.
